Satya Narayana Nadella (; born 19 August ) is an Indian-born American business executive who is the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Microsoft, succeeding Steve Ballmer in as CEO[2][3] and John W.
Thompson in as chairman.[4][5] Before becoming CEO, he was the executive vice president of Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group, responsible for building and running the company's computing platforms.[6]
